- Das Flugzeug wurde über dem Zielgebiet Regensburg von Flakgeschossen getroffen. Über den Bergen vielen zwei Triebwerke aus und ein Absturz drohte. Der Pilot gab über Hartberg das Notausstiegszeichen, dem fünf Besatzungsmitglieder folgten. Jedoch gelang es ihm, das Flugzeug wieder zu stabilisieren. Im Tiefflug und von deutschen Jagdflugzeugen verfolgt, gelangte es bis Montenegro, wo es schließlich nicht mehr zu halten war. Die restliche Besatzung sprang ab, flüchtete mehrere Tage durch die Berge, wurde schließlich von Tito-Partisanen aufgegriffen und kehrte nach Italien zurück.
