- Das Flugzeug wurde beim Angriff auf Graz von Flakgeschossen auf der linken Seite getroffen. Beide linken Triebwerke fielen aus. Als die beiden Piloten versuchten, das Flugzeug stabil zu halten, explodierte ein weiteres Flakgeschoss am Flugzeug. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit breitete sich ein Feuer im Inneren aus. Nur fünf Crewmitglieder konnten sich, teils schwerverletzt, retten.
