- Das Flugzeug wurde über Budapest von deutschen Jagdflugzeugen beschossen und getroffen. Es fiel hinter die Formation zurück, wurde aber von eigenem Begleitschutz abgeschirmt. Über Jugoslawien wurde es abermals getroffen. Der Pilot musste das Zeichen zum Notausstieg geben, den alle überlebten. Die Crew fiel in die Hände von Angehörigen der SS-Division "Florian Geyer". Zwei Crewangehörige wurden nach Budapest, die übrigen in das Dulag Luft gebracht.
