Die Maschine wurde von einem deutschen Jäger getroffen und fiel hinter die Formation zurück, wo sie schon von weiteren Jagdflugzeugen erwartet wurde. Das Flugzeug legte sich auf den Rücken, die Besatzung sprang ab, bevor die Maschine in den Sturzflug überging und am Boden aufschlug.
