- Das Flugzeug wurde über dem Ziel von Flakgeschossen getroffen und an drei Triebwerken beschädigt. Es fiel beim Rückflug hinter die Formation zurück und wurde Opfer von deutschen Jagdmaschinen. Nach dem Absturz nahe der heutigen österreichisch-slowenischen Grenze konnten die Offiziere zu den Partisanen flüchten und wurden nach Italien zurückgebracht.
