- Die Maschine hatte Probleme über dem Ziel und fiel aus der Formation zurück. Jäger und Flak trafen das Flugzeug so stark, dass es in Brand geriet und in der Luft explodierte. Der Pilot stürzte mit der Maschine ab. Seine Leiche wurde später im Wrack gefunden. Der Rest der Besatzung sprang ab, wobei sich zwei Fallschirme nicht öffneten. Die festgenommene restliche Besatzung musste die Besatzungsmitglieder identifizieren.
