Die Maschine wurde von Jägern angeschossen und fiel so aus der Formation zurück. Das Flugzeug wurde in der Folge von mehreren Jägern angegriffen und dabei in Brand geschossen. Ein Teil der Besatzung konnte sich retten, ein Teil stürzte mit der Maschine zu Boden.
