Die Maschine wurde über Wien von Flakgeschossen in den Bombenschacht getroffen. Vier Besatzungsmitglieder konnten die Maschine verlassen, ehe sie in einen spiralförmigen Sturzflug überging und schließlich in der Luft explodierte.
