Die Maschine wurde kurz vor dem Abwurf der Bombenlast von Flakgeschossen über Székesfehérvár getroffen. Die Bomben fielen noch - dann explodierte das Flugzeug in der Luft. Nur drei Besatzungsmitglieder konnten sich retten.
