Die Maschine wurde über Wien von Flakgeschossen im Bombenschacht getroffen. Sofort brach Feuer aus und das Flugzeug sackte zu Bode. Ein Teil der Besatzung konnte sich retten, ehe die Maschine in der Luft explodierte.
