- Die Maschine erhielt einige Flaktreffer über Wien, konnte sich aber noch bis zum Balaton in der Formation halten. Dort fiel sie dann zurück und stürzte ab. Wade starb beim Absturz, da sich sein Fallschirm nicht öffnete.
