Die Maschine befand sich auf dem Weg nach Blechhammer, sie wurde von deutschen Jagdflugzeugen attackiert und dabei stark beschädigt, so dass diese die Formation verlassen musste. Das Flugzeug sackte ab und zerbrach in der Luft. Alle Besatzungsmitglieder überlebten.
