Die Maschine wurde über Korneuburg von Flakgeschossen in die Flugzeugnase getroffen. Ein Crewmitglied wurde dabei ohne Fallschirm aus dem Flugzeug geschleudert. Dem Piloten gelang es zunächst, die Maschine in der Nähe der Formation zu halten, ehe der Kontakt abriss.
