Das Flugzeug wurde über Wien von der Flak direkt in den Bombenschacht getroffen. Es ging sofort in Flammen auf und in einen spiralförmigen Sturzflug über. Die Maschine zerschellte in Wien am Boden. Etliche Fallschirme lösten sich vor dem Aufschlag aus dem Flugzeug.
