- Das Flugzeug wurde über Linz von der Flak direkt an der Flugzeugnase getroffen. Die Granate drang ins Cockpit ein und explodierte zwischen Pilot und Co-Pilot. Während letzterer sofort tot war, wurde der Pilot schwer verletzt. In der Maschine brach Feuer aus und das Flugzeug begann zu trudeln. Die Crew konnte sich dennoch mittels Fallschirm aus der Maschine retten. Sie landete in der Nähe von Linz und Amstetten und wurde von deutschen Suchtruppen aufgegriffen.
