ויעשו להם חגורות. חגורה אין כת' כאן, אלא חגורות - אסטכיון, טלין, סדינין. ולאשה ציצלין, דקיסלוון [*קולוסין], סבכיון.
And they made themeselves girdles (ḥagorot). R. Abba b. Kahana said: Not hagorah (a girdle) but hagorot is written: now hagorot implies shirts, robes, and linen cloaks; and just as these are made for man, so for woman are made girdles, hats, and hair nets. (Cf. Freedman / Simon I 152-153)
