- Das Flugzeug geriet über Salzburg in schwere Luftkämpfe. Der Pilot versuchte auszuweichen, sackte unter die Formation und führte eine 360°-Drehung durch. Jedoch wurde das Flugzeug schwer getroffen. Brände brachen aus und eine Explosion ereignete sich. Ein Teil der Besatzung konnte abspringen, konnte jedoch zwei Besatzungsmitglieder, die bewusstlos waren, nicht mehr retten. Das Flugzeug flog weiter, bis es nahe Burghausen am Boden aufschlug.
