- Das Flugzeug wurde von deutschen Jägern attackiert, die das 3. Triebwerk in Brand schossen. Die Maschine sackte langsam aus der Formation ab. Der Treffer beschädigte die gesamte rechte Seite des Flugzeuges und verwundete ein Besatzungsmitglied schwer (Styrwoll). Er sprang gemeinsam mit der gesamten Besatzung ab. Styrwoll wurde von den Deutschen gefunden und in ein Lazarett nach Wr. Neustadt gebracht, wo er seinen schweren Verletzungen erlag. Der Pilot (Haviland) wurde mit einem Einschussloch im Kopf aufgefunden.
