- Über Budapest stürzte ein von Flakgeschossen getroffener US-Bomber in dieses Flugzeug. Der Propeller tötete dabei den Co-Piloten. Während der Pilot das Zeichen zum Notabsprung gab, drehte sich das Flugzeug um die eigene Achse und ging zu Boden. Die abgesprungenen Besatzungsmitglieder wurden am Boden von Zivilisten attackiert und auch in Gefangenschaft teils schwer misshandelt. Als erste amerikanische Kriegsgefangene in Ungarn wurden sie in Budapest zur Schau gestellt.
