- Die Maschine wurde von Flak-Geschossen getroffen und ging in einen spiralförmigen Sturzflug über. Bevor die Maschine am Boden aufschlug explodierte sie in der Luft. Die Trümmer fielen auf das Bauernhaus der Rose Lirter, töteten zwei Kinder und verwundeten eine Frau schwer. Drei Flieger wurden am Friedhof Thal beigesetzt.
