- Die Maschine kollidierte in der Luft mit einem anderen Bomber. Dabei wurde ein Waffenturm abgerissen und das Flugzeug so schwer beschädigt, dass diese sofort in den Sturzflug überging. Nur drei Mann der Besatzung konnten sich mit ihren Fallschirmen aus der Maschine retten. Die anderen Crewmitglieder starben beim Aufprall.
