- Der Pilot befand sich auf einer Strafing Misson in Tschechien, als er mehrere FW 190 entdeckte. Beim Abtauchen erkannte er, dass sich am Boden ein Stützpunkt der Luftwaffe befand, den er sofort angriff. Dabei wurde das Flugzeug von Flakgeschossen getroffen und beim abdrehen von deutschen FW 190 beschossen. Das erheblich beschädigte Flugzeug konnte kaum mehr in der Luft gehalten werden. Nach kurzer Zeit sprang Warford ab und rettete sich zu Boden.
