8,1 [I 55:3]

"the executor in his province”

Etymology (borrowing): source language Post Classical Greek+ Cf. LSJ ἐκβιβαστής

Sperber 1984:31 suggests also ~Gr. ἐκβιαστής “exactor” (Sophocles 431b). Aquila in Dtn 16,18 renders έκβιβαστάς for שטרים but έκβιαστήν, ἐκβιαστής for שטר in Prov. 6,8. In our context the meaning executor ~ Gr. ἐκβιβαστής is however more suitable, cf. בייא
