R. Yishmaʿel taught: This term sport (Gen 21,9) refers to idolatry, as in the verse And rose up to make sport (Ex 32,6). This teaches that Sarah saw Ishmael build altars, catch locusts, and sacrifice them. (Freedman / Simon I 470)
