Krauss, LW II 148a rejects this reading, correcting to אמבטי or דייטי, but cf. Sperber, Cards. Following Schlatter's (1900) suggestion for an interpretation as Gr. βυθός, which would represent a regular adaptation of a Greek masc. form ending in -o in Aramaic (instead of a reconstructed (?) Greek *βέτη as suggested in the past)
